On the banks of the Cravo Sur River is located El Hato San Pablo, recognized throughout the history of the colombian llanos for having a traditional and autochthonous legacy, which opens its doors to tourism to show its beautiful landscapes, extensive savannahs, and the llanero customs of working with livestock, and the close relationship of the llaneros with their horses.

ITINERARY:
Starting Point: Alcaraván Airport or Hotel in Yopal.
Finishing Point: Alcaraván Airport or Hotel in Yopal.
Start time – day 1: 8:30.
End time – day 3: 17:00.
Day 1: We will meet you at the airport or place in Yopal previously agreed, to give way to the departure by 4×4 truck to El Hato San Pablo (during the dry season you can enter by truck to the herd, and in the rainy season you must make a transfer at the Cravo Sur river).
Before leaving Yopal you can tell the driver if you need to stop at a cash machine or make any kind of purchase before departure.
Arrival at Hato San Pablo is scheduled around noon; along the road you will be able to contemplate the llanero landscape, crossing extensive savannahs and bird watching.
Once at the ranch you will be greeted with a delicious welcome drink, you will be assigned your room and then you will have lunch in the social area.
In the afternoon you can enjoy the facilities, observe the large number of birds that visit the place and the sunset in front of the beautiful view of the majestic Cravo Sur River.
You will tour the stables and the places designed to work the horses and cattle.
During the night you will listen to stories of the herd while having dinner.
Day 2. Wake up around 5:30 a.m.; you will have a coffee and enjoy the forest trails for birdwatching.
Afterward, you will have breakfast and get ready to accompany the llaneros on their horseback tours to observe the herd, its fauna, flora, and livestock activity, listening to stories and learning about their customs.
Before leaving, you will be able to participate in saddling the horse and in the learning of all the accessories that compose it.
You will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will take a boat ride on the great Cravo Sur River.
The dinner will take place among stories, songs and tales.
Day 3: Sunrise around 5:30 a.m. coffee will be provided.
You will be able to walk through the facilities of the Hato, contemplate the beautiful sunrise and enjoy the birds.
The morning will be destined to rest at the hotel and then have lunch and leave for Yopal.
During the morning you will be able to learn about the “terecay” and “charapa” turtle breeding experience: two endangered turtle species that are part of the conservation and repopulation program currently being developed by the Palmarito Foundation and the Cunaguaro Foundation.

- Wear comfortable, cool, quick-drying clothing, ideally in earth tones that allow for greater camouflage in the natural landscape.

Cap or hat (you can find an offer of hats in our allied store in Yopal “Sobreros Florentino”). - Rubber or waterproof boots (depending on size and availability they can be supplied by us), and comfortable and safe closed shoes.
