LLANERO SAFARI IN COLOMBIA

WILDLIFE OBSERVATION TOUR

It is a unique adventure in Colombia where you can see large mammals and reptiles, accompanied by a great diversity of typical birds of the flooded savannas of the department of Casanare, which together form magnificent landscapes worth appreciating.

The Llanero Safari

The Llanero Safari is our flagship product of nature tourism in the Colombian llanos. As such, it is an appropriation of the African concept where we seek the contemplation, observation, and appreciation of the native wildlife of the Neotropics, which can be easily recorded and/or photographed. Likewise, it aims to highlight the “llanero culture” and its relationship with biodiversity conservation, allowing to increase the appropriation and cultural appreciation by local communities to continue strengthening environmental and social sustainability.

Birdwatching and Terrestrial Animal Observation

Among the representative species that we will be able to observe are herds of capybaras and deers, as well as characteristic, curious and emblematic animals of the region such as the two types of anteaters, the great Orinoco crocodile, monkeys, anacondas, foxes, pink dolphins, aquatic and terrestrial turtles, iguanas, common caiman, porcupines and otters, among many others. There is always the possibility of encountering big cats such as pumas, jaguars, jaguarundis, ocelots, or finding their tracks on the ground, trees and bushes. Many of these are endangered species and their populations are in decline due to habitat loss and hunting.

The Llanero Safari is the best opportunity to observe wildlife in the Colombian llanos!

BIG-5

We have our “BIG-5” or “The Big 5” in the best African style:

The Jaguar (the largest feline in America), the Giant Anteater (the largest Anteater species in the world), the Anaconda (one of the largest and longest snakes in the world), the Giant Otter (the largest otter on the planet), and the Capybara (the largest and heaviest rodent in the world). The Llanero Safari is all about the appreciation of the great richness and abundance of bird species, which typify and adorn the landscape with their beautiful colors.
