If you want to live a llanero experience when you have little time, the day trip to this reserve is truly unforgettable.
In one day you can learn about llanero traditions, go horseback riding, take a canoe ride and observe herds of chigüiros, babillas, flocks of birds and maybe you will be lucky enough to see other animals typical of the plains such as anteaters, foxes or anacondas.

ITINERARY:

 

Start and End Point: Hato Berlín Natural Reserve.

Start time : 8:00.

End time: 18:00.

The reserve awaits you with a refreshing welcome snack; you will be able to meet an exemplary llanero, who will accompany you throughout the day of experiences.
In the morning hours you will be able to walk through the forest trails and its ravines, and share field work with the llanero workers of the herd.
They will also be able to carry out handicraft activities and livestock work that are usually carried out on the farm.

Afterwards you will enjoy a delicious lunch under the shade of a tree.

According to your preferences and your level of horseback riding experience, you can go horseback riding on different routes and finish with a beautiful sunset canoe ride, watching the wildlife in all its splendor in the afternoon.

Recommendations

– Wear comfortable, cool, quick-drying clothing, ideally in earth tones that allow for greater camouflage in the natural landscape.
Pants and long sleeve shirts.
Cap or hat (you can find an offer of hats in our allied store in Yopal “Sobreros Florentino”).

– Rubber or waterproof boots (depending on size and availability they can be supplied by us), and comfortable and safe closed shoes.

– Raincoat and dry bags for equipment.

– Sun block and insect repellent.

– Water bottle, thermos or camelback.

– Sunglasses.

– Basic personal hygiene items.

– Flashlight, spare batteries, photography equipment, binoculars.

– A medium sized assault backpack for use during activities.
