Hato La Aurora is the reference point for tourism, conservation and llanero safari in Casanare and the region.
Its thousands of hectares of flooded savannahs and gallery forests are home to incredible animals such as jaguars, palm bears, anacondas and chigüiros.
There is always a chance to observe these and many other species typical of the region, in addition to the more than 300 species of birds that are recorded there.

To keep in mind:

The Hato La Aurora Natural Reserve is composed of 16 thousand hectares with areas of forests, savannahs and marshes.
A Safari plan in La Aurora is mainly composed of visiting different places of its immense plain and sighting species of fauna and flora of the area.
However, this plan
“In the Footsteps of the Jaguar” consists of a continuous search for this feline during different days, as you learn about the species, its behavior and its environment, so it requires a lot of patience and tranquility, as it requires several hours of waiting in silence, in the same strategic point waiting for this animal to appear.

It is important to keep in mind that everything possible will be done during this plan to make the sighting of the jaguar, its tracks, its footprints and/or its photographs in the camera traps, knowing that there is always a probability; however, it is not possible to guarantee its sighting 100%.

Season with the highest probability of sightings: months of January, February, March and the first fifteen days of April.
