The “llanero” and the horse are one, and it is precisely in the colombian llanos where one breathes a great sense of freedom in the vastness of the savanna, to enjoy the best and most authentic horseback riding. We approached Laura on very short notice to make arrangement for our visit to the Llanos.

Needless to say, we enjoyed our trip to the Hato Mata de Palma and saw not one but two anteater species.

I could stay only one day in Yopal.
Obviously I didn’t have much time.
A friend of mine gave me the contact of Laura, from Cunaguaro Travel, who in minutes managed to schedule me a one-day birding experience.
I ended that day at the Puro Llano Reserve, birding with Omar, a hawk-eyed birding guide who showed me not only toucans, hawks, chestnut-fronted macaws and many other species, but also apes.
And at the end of the stay, while we were enjoying a glass of wine, a giant anteater appeared!!!!. It was an unforgettable experience at a very affordable price.
